Parul, Anand and Kabir Kumtha

Anand and Parul are parents of Kabir Kumtha, a young man with autism. Kabir runs 'Kabir's Kreations', an enterprise that sells products such as garlands, paintings, mugs, spectical lanyards, bridal floral chaddars, etc by him. He has also worked in a workplace for over a decade.

Anand has been a college teacher of Mathematics & Statistics. He is fascinated by and done research in the mathematical theory of games, and worked to evolve and use games for social leisure of neurodiverse persons. He volunteered for several years in a club and a workspace to facilitate these and other games for neurodiverse adults.

Parul is an architect who works on Universal Design and is empannelled on the government's Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan. Her poems on autism can be found on Facebook and YouTube under "Why? Autism Poems by Parul Kumtha". Her Tedx talk titled "Inclusion: A celebration of diversity" is also available on YouTube. 

Both Anand and Parul have authored books in their area of work. They are core members and trustee respectively of the Mumbai based support group Forum for Autism. They have taken training in Narrative Practices and Social Role Valorisation.

All three like to dabble in different forms of art and also love solving puzzles of different kinds.

Kabir, Anand and Parul together host Aagḻévegḻé (आगळेवेगळे) - a safe, inclusive, free community space celebrating diversity. Aagḻévegḻé means uniquely different in Marathi.
